The Department for International Trade (DIT) helps businesses export and grow into global markets.
We are the UK Government Department responsible for:
• bringing together policy, promotion and financial expertise to break down barriers to trade and investment, and help businesses succeed
• delivering a new trade policy framework for the UK as we leave the EU
• promoting British trade and investment across the world
• building the global appetite for British goods and services
We work to secure UK and global prosperity by promoting and financing international trade and investment and championing free trade.
We provide tailored support and advice for businesses on how to start exporting or increase the amount of goods and services they sell overseas.
Companies can access free advice and practical support from International Trade Advisers who can assist at all stages of a business’s exporting journey.
